Nietzke
Zarathustra contrasts Ubermensch with the Last Man, the person too risk-adverse to pursue any aim beyond comfort. He consequently avoids starting a new generation. He is utterly unadventurous, incapable of self-criticism, wholly caught up in his own petty pleasures, his contentment, his “happiness”. The Last Man is presented as a dolt, the ultimate 'couch potato'.
Ubermench, Superman, is devoid of human timidity, continually aspiring to greatness and living life as a creative adventure.
