Ettiquette

Ettiquette is a code of ethics that spells out expectation for social behavior in modern conventional norms in society or class.

Rules of ettiquette encompass most aspects of social interaction in any society. Rules of ettiquette are, usually, unwritten. They may reflect an underlying ethical code in fashion or status.

Ettiquette and manners, like mythology have buried histories, their justification logical, as in, respect that is shown to others.

  Ettiquette can be enforced practically,

'no shoes, no shirt, no service',

seen in front of cafes and restaurants across North America. Others feel that single, basic codes, shared by all, make life simpler, more pleasant by removing chance for misunderstanding, creating opportunities for courtesy and mutual respect.

Business ettiquette is the set of written and unwritten rules of conduct that facilitates social interaction.

Ettiquette is dependent on culture, what is appropriate in one society may shock another. Ettiquette evolves within a culture.

Ettiquette can be used as a social weapon. An in-groups outward adoption of superficial mannerisms, designed in the interest of social advancement, rather than concern for others, is considered lacking in virtue, a form of snobbery.
