God forbade...must reading!

New Age Philosophy

Authors claim erotic desires can lead to God, a reflection of the Godhead. The New Age movement is a formidable social and spiritual challenge for Christianity. The movement believes Christianity is one of many inner spiritual paths to the same goal. New Age teaches men find answers and are more capable of perfection than we assume. Through understanding our mystical potential in self-realization and higher consciousness, union with God is much less demanding than we’ve been led to believe. Man advances, not through discernment, testing spirits and moral struggle, but through intuitive knowing and creativeness. Our understanding seeks a unity with God and in this union reveals himself to us. Teachers warn not to mix the carnal with the spiritual, it interferes with spiritual growth. Sinful emotions, even natural thoughts and feelings, subletly disguised by righteous appearance upsets the union of the heart and mind. St. Augustine said “since lawful intercourse is hand-in-hand with bodily desire, we should keep from entering a holy place (altar), desire is not blameless”.

Sexual energy comes from the deepest strata of being, the energy of life, divine in origin, sacred in nature, not at a loss through ignorance or malice, perversion or abuse. Something intrinsically spiritual is at the heart of the sexual act. This desire is directly related to the realization of the image of God within us. Sexual energy realizes the self. The sexual urge is an expression of a natural yearning, implanted by and leading us toward our Creator. Modern people must go down first- return to earth- to rich sensuous experience to reconnect animal nature before they are fit candidates for Christian transformation.
